other half applied for a cc with abbey so that we can balance transfer...
they said he failed the credit scoring...
checked experian and he has a score of 931. no payment defaults on anything. no late payments..
The only thing that could be lowering his score is the amount of searches in 3 months, which is 6. the same company searched him 4 times!!!!
I checked mine too and mine is 999, so its not like I am dragging him down...
4 of the searches should drop off on the 11/05 as they were done in feb
will this improve his score??
we cant balance transfer to a virgin card as this is the one he already has and I no multiple searches will lower the rating.
any other suggestions???
are we better off wating till some of the searches drop off, or trying somewhere else... we have just short of 3k that we need to xfr on a 0% deal.

Abbey are weird. I applied twice for one of their cards (long story, first application was lost and then found). They declined the first application made via their website but then accepted the application I made in branch with exactly the same details. They have been fairly useless since, so getting declined is a benefit.0
