I am in need of recommendations for a restaurant in Portsmouth/Southsea/Fareham for a family meal to celebrate graduation in July. Needs to be good but not break the bank. Will consider most genres. Thanks

The chinees is nice and good value. But not the best I have had. Your best bet is to head down to Gunwalf as there is naff all in Portsmouth/southsea.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

Again confirm GunWharf. Las Iguanas, Chiquitos,Nandos, F&Bs, HaHa, Bar38, Cafe Rouge, Loch Fyne etc.
Mummytofour....Water Margin is in Gunwharf and although it is ok, but I do object to having to pay for tap water on top of the cost of the meal. I know some will say they need to cover costs, but come on how much does it cost to fill a jug with water??
Look on the Gunwharf website. If you join, there are regular offers.
Also Port Solent. A couple of new restaurants opening there soon.
Can you say what kind of food would be looked for as other suggestions may be forthcoming0
