help with digi camera photos

I am using a compact flash card in a digi camera. Just received the memorex CF card reader. Plugged it in my Dell Dim 3000, Win Xp and i can read the photo files. However, It would only let me view them as Paint Shop Photo Album files using the preinstalled Software by Dell.

How can i obtain these files as jpegs to burn to CD for viewing on a DVD player? And DAK know of any free software that i can use to view jpeg files for free on my pc?

I'm afraid I can't help with the memory cards but with regard to your 2nd question I use Irfanview.

It's free , its relatively simple and it seems to do everything including enhancing, cropping, redeye etc. Just set it as your default graphics software and it should take care of everything. (It'll even take care of your mp3's as well if u like)

The files are already JPGs (most probably) - it's just that your default program for opening JPGs is that Dell software. Like the man says, install IrfanView and set it to open all graphics files, and that should sort it.
