Why would anyone be sympathetic towards someone that can read and yet missed the blindingly obvious disclaimer?

It's quite simple really... I was in the branch, not online. If I had been online I would have compared deals, seen the disclaimer and gone somewhere else for my currency. I think you are missing the whole point of this forum.

Nevermind, forget I mentioned it, and remember, next time you book a holiday get your currency from the post office in branch. :money:

And that somewhere else on the average High Street will only have been marginally better if at all.

And yes I might well get my currency from the Post Office if it's 15 miles each way to get a trivially better rate at M&S.

If you were in the branch, why are you complaining about the worse rate? The current rates are clearly displayed in every Post Office that does forex - or at least, they were when I was last in the UK. So it's not a 'scam', it's not a 'ripoff' - you got the published rate and that's that.

The fact that the interbank rate might be 5% better means absolutely nothing to personal customers. It might be significant if you ran an forex exchange business - but it's really insigificant for ordinary private individuals.

Get your currency in branch and get a worse rate? No thank you.
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.
