CC has doubled the interest rate

MBNA (ie Virgin provider) have a recent history of increasing rates of those on whose 0% deal is about to end, regardless of how you run your account. Its seems to be the norm now.
Recent changes mean CC companies must now give you the option of freezing your interest rates, suspend your account to new borrowing and closing when it is paid of. If you by some chance phone up and get a few % taken off you new higher rate, you lose the option to freeze your rates.0 -
