When should I receive redundancy payment?

Hello, I was wondering when I should receive my redundancy payments and paperwork?

The notice period ended on Tuesday (or last Saturday - it's tricky) and I emailed my employer on Wednesday to ask the same question but as yet have not had any response email or post.

I presumed that I would receive it at end of notice period, is that right or wrong? And what should I do now? Put the same query in writing and in the post??

Would be grateful for any help, thanks!

    were you paid monthly/ weekly.

It should be included in the next pay run and posted out within a few days.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    Ahh, was paid 4-weekly.

On redundancy notice, termination date was given as 25/04/09, but was given redundancy notice at the end of a work day on 25/02/09. So 9 weeks notice was technically 28/04.009. So I may have to wait another 3 weeks for 2 days pay and redundancy money? Pants:mad:!

    Thanks for that anniehanlon!

No worries anniehanlon, I didn't work my notice, but have been paid 4-weekly as i would have if i did work it. Will add acas on to my list of phone calls this afternoon, if only my employer just replied to the email!

    Thanks

Spoke to someone at ACAS, he said that it could be either at end of notice or when paid last pay and that in first instance to contact employer to ask, if no reply then grievance letter! Why are these things never simple!
