Inheritance dispute

Hi,
My brother and i have recently inherited my deceased mothers house, the house is valued at approximately 140k. The problem that we have is that my brother would like to rent it for 2/3 years, but i would like to sell it to release much needed cash for myself and my family.
I have suggested to him that he buys my share off me, enabling him to then rent the property, but he has declined my offer.
Any ideas of how to resolve this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
