Friday 1/05/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Good morning lovely dfw'sjumping0044.gif, hi to ll the regulars, and welcome on board to any new posters.

  • one lot of laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • little bit of ironing for me

    Morning everyone :j

It rained quite a bit here overnight, but has come out bright and sunny now. Everything in the garden is suddenly starting to grow, and it is SO nice out there - but I have to work in here :(

Bank holiday coming up or not, I have loads to do. Today I have / will:

Check online banking and move money around (done)

    Seen to animals and plants

    Tidied kitchen a bit

HM meals from stores, except supper as DD2 is cooking at her place tonight and invited OH and I :j
She eyed up the plum cake I made last night and suggested I take it along for pudding though

The scary job application I did a couple of weeks ago has resulted in an invitation to a scary interview. This has lots of parts, assessments etc, including one that has to be done online in advance, so I guess I will do that today and get it out of the way, and start to think about the presentation part.

I also need to write a paper for work, so get on with that.

Sorry to hear that you are poorly Fay, hope you feel better soon. I hate Lemsips too - yuck!

Well, better get on. Have a nice day everyone :hello:

    hello everyone!

    today I have/will

    - work very hard
    - eat the take away bought for me by OH (so much for my 'no take aways' new years resolution...)
    - check online banking through closed fingers
    - try to cough/sneeze quietly so people at work stop pointing at me and saying "She's got the piggy ful!!"

    That'll do me for now.
    KT. x

Morning All :jit's a long weekend and I have no commitments, I don't have to be anywhere except in the garden :D (How Money Saving is that :D) And it is SUNNY :j:j:j
But I have a confession - my mystery shop last night was to have a drink at the pub :D, but we stayed and had a curry too :o so broke my NSD-run :o

    So today I have/will:
    • done scratchies -20p :o
    • Have a mystery shop tonight to buy a Pizza - how cool is that? :D
    • picked up TWO more mystery shops, 0ne is a fabby meal out and the other is at Body Shop :D:D
    • 2p coming from Quidco :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    • will do masses of gardening, which is free exercise and should lead to home grown veg ;)
    • re-started doing surveys yesterday -I've let that slide just recently but I'm on the home straight so I'm re-enthused with MS.
    • Will menu plan for next week and then shop accordingly.
    • will Skype Popeye at regular intervals -Skyping has saved us a FORTUNE :money: (not to mention my sanity and our relationship :rotfl:)
    • brought in packed lunch
I'm SO looking forward to the end of the cheapo tea bags I bought. Even the family complained when they were home at Easter, but I can see the bottom of the packet now, despite getting into work early these last couple of weeks Just so I can have a decent cup of tea :rotfl:In the old days I think I'd have thrown them - so I thought "that's a small MS sacrifice I should note" :rotfl:

Have a great day everybody :A
