Your main issue is going to be finding parking for it near where you work, if your going to park on a site away and drive in everyday it's not going to be worth it. You'll will encounter issues trying to live in the caravan if you are not on a proper site.

A lot of sites are not open all year, particularly winter and many are quite expensive per night.

Just a thought - you could try renting a static caravan. Some times the rent is cheaper over the winter months and they have all mod cons inside! Then you could decide which you'd prefer?
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

There are some caravan parks that are partly "residential" where you can live in them all year round. However you will still have to pay council tax (say £70-90 per month) on these caravans plus the rent (around £125 per week if you get a good deal)
You can't live in a caravan all year without paying council tax (unless you live there illegally)
Most parks only open for 8-10 months per year, so you need to think where you would live for the other 2 months. You could buy your own caravan and live on these parks for those months, BUT would have to pay ground rent per month.
Caravans are cold, and electricity is not cheap.
I lived in a caravan for 10 months, it was a 3 bed static and the electricity bill for those months was £987 plus gas bottles, we own the caravan and are trying to sell it (unsuccessfully) but still have to pay the ground rent. We thought it would be cheap to live there, but in hindsight it wasnt. Think very carefully before committing to a caravan.
Plus some sites have strict rules.
Speak to the council also, they would be able to tell you about the laws and where you could stay.
Hope this is of some help

The gypsy travellers never seem to have a problem finding somewhere to park their caravans up, rent free.
