Can anyone tell me how to get from Edinburgh airport to the city centre of Edinburgh by means of public transport? Please bear in mind I've never set foot on Scottish soil before.

You should get one of the blue Airlink 100 buses from just outside the terminal. Costs £5 for a return ticket and takes you to Princes Street, where you can easily get to the Royal Mile or George Street (where the majority of hotels are). Journey takes about 30 minutes. Let me know if you want any more details!13/3/06 £2 Savers Club = £20

I've done this. It's quick and easy and plenty of room for baggage. It does stop and pick up/ drop off at various points in the city centre before terminating near Waverly Railway Station..0 -

The Grosvenor Hilton is in Grosvenor Street at Haymarket before you get into Princes Street

The Caledonian is on the west end of Princes Street.
The bus is fast and cheap, get off at Shadwick Place and cross the road. Its on the corner of Lothian Road.0
