How do I stop plastic things attracting dust as soon as I have dusted?!?!?!?

This must be a common problem - plastic things like the TV, TV stand, digital piano, hi-fi, etc., all attract dust AS SOON AS I have dusted, and always look dusty.

Is there a product I can use to stop this? Don't want to spend a fortune ideally, but it is driving me mad!!

I develop 'selective eyesight' - housework's not worth winding myself up about.

All I can say is dust then hoover, which you're probably doing anyway.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

I'm not!!! I was told hoover then dust, cos the hoover kicks some dust out of it's bottom.

(I wet dust so it doesn't just all end up back in the air!)

I think it's to do with static - any solutions to it?

I think I saw a tip about wiping tv screens over with a fabric conditioner sheet somewhere. In fact, I'm sure I did, I just can't remember where :)

Hi skintchick, I'm sure I read somewhere that a wee bit of fabric conditioner on your duster works a treat...

If your vacuum cleaner is kicking out dust, then it's time for a new one. I first dust with my vac attachment, btw
