My son has just become aware that there is to be a possession order application made on 15th May for the privately rented flat he and his adult son live in. They have been there 3 years. His almost £1000 deposit was not ringfenced in any way and has certainly been spent and he paid £880 rent just last week. The landlord is apparently about £10,000 in arrears.
My grandson is 21 but has Aspergers and has never worked, gets IB under the youth rules plus some DLA. My son works full time.
Any thoughts on how to proceed? Obviously it is going to be extremely difficult to raise the money for another rented place, this is North London. How long before they are evicted do you think.
Any advice very welcome.
