Can I Offer finance

I am considering selling a property or two, and offering finance. The idea would be the buyer has to pay me monthly installments, which I of course use to pay off my mortgage on the property. This is common in the US. Is it allowed here?

Need a new place but banks won't touch me cos the houses around here are too much for the morgage i could get :-(
