Which operating system - Linpus or Windows?
If your "broadband safeguard" is a firewall, both should have one already installed, but may need to be configured/enabled.
If it's an antivirus program, you probably don't need it with Linpus.0 -
its linpus so do you think i already have cover0

Provided it's connected to your broadband router via wireless or ethernet cable, you don't really need either at the moment.
Linpus should already have the iptables firewall installed, but it's probably either turned off by default, or set to a very unrestrictive config.
Major virus threats for Linux-based systems may emerge in future, but at the moment the risks of running without an antivirus program are very very low compared to any version of Windows.0
