Can anyone help?!

Dear fellow reclaim friends,
I don’t know what to do after receiving the latest letter from Barclays!
The total amount, which I have been claiming for 2 years now, is £3,278.00, which included interest at the time I raised my claim.
On the 24th July 2008 I requested the stay to be removed from my claim on grounds of hardship.
Today I received a letter saying that as a "gesture of goodwill" Barclay's has transferred £2,340.04 into my account - yes some good news!:) BUT the letter then goes on to say, "I have now closed your financial difficulty claim".
If anyone can help me with the following questions I would really appreciate it:
1- how can I go about claiming for the balance amount which is owed to me?
2- should I write anything in reply to Barclay's letter? Can they just decide to close my "difficulty claim" when I thought all claims are on hold waiting for the conclusion of proceedings between the banks and the Office of Fair Trading?
3- assuming I can move forward and claim the correct and full amount can I now claim for the extra interest which would have been incurred since my submission of the claim in 2007?
I know it seems that I might have a little victory on my hands but still £900 more would go that much further in getting me out of the hole that I am in!
If anyone can help – thank you so much in advance!
Aida

Write to them and thank them for the interim payment and that you reserve the right to reclaim the remainder once the OFT test case is concluded.
2- should I write anything in reply to Barclay's letter? Can they just decide to close my "difficulty claim" when I thought all claims are on hold waiting for the conclusion of proceedings between the banks and the Office of Fair Trading?
They are giving you a payout but they still owe you the remainder.
3- assuming I can move forward and claim the correct and full amount can I now claim for the extra interest which would have been incurred since my submission of the claim in 2007?
How much is the amount comparable to? Is it just charges and no interest? You can still claim the interest on the conclusion of the OFT test case issues.

If the amount doesn't cover your arrears then you can write back and state that the interim payment will only cover x, y and z debt but does not cover a, b and c debt
If anyone can help – thank you so much in advance!

The KEY words are financial difficulty. They haven't closed your claim(at least I am assuming they are not). Have a look at the bits in red and perhaps negotiate for more based on priority debt arrears.0
