Hi, new to this forum and forums in general but thought this might be a good place to start.
I'm a landlady and wish to let my property. Have had a bad experience with Agents and prefer to let my property myself, especially in this climat.
I have seen and researched 3 letting sites and spoke to 2. I found Web Residential .co.uk very helpful and feel the charge is very reasonable for the service they seem to offer. I would like to find out if anyone has actually used these and the service they received before I go ahead.
Thanks for taking the time.

When I was a LL I just used my local gumtree.com site. It's free and you can advertise as many times as you want plus you can also include pics. It is worth noting that the inclusion of good quality pics of your property is strongly advised. The interest I had easily trebled by including pics of my ads and I rarely had to re-advertise.
A one line ad in your local rag's classifieds is pointless imho; it doesn't tell the reader anything and especially when there are about 100 other ads with the same non-info.

Edit to add that I wouldn't pay some place to list my property for me and fwiw I've never heard of residential.co.uk and I doubt anyone looking for somewhere to rent would know about it either so imho your money would be wasted.0 -
I agree with Rob's post, particularly his final sentence.
Never sure whether these sort of OPs are genuine or whether it is yet another "masquerade as a genuine poster to advertise what we do" jobs.
This web site is not offering anything that would make me want to part with my cash - they currently have just 13 properties listed.
I'd like to think they'd pay a bit more attention to detail if I was daft enough to pay out unnecessary money for something I could easily do myself - they say that they understand the importance of marketing and yet there are numerous punctuation and spelling errors on this site and, worse still, factual errors.None of that screams professional marketing service to me.
Don't want to be too helpful to them FOC but examples include incorrectly saying that the TDs regs came into force on 6 April 2006, which may panic one or two amateur LL s;) and they only list DPS and TDSL/my deposits, making no mention of TDS. However, my favourite sentence is possibly this one:Landlords must always be well informed of all legal aspects of residential letting, and if ever unsure should always take legal advice of their pacific situation.Remnember guys, as a LL, if you are letting out in the region of the Pacific then English laws don't apply, and if the let property is in the UK but you yourself are residing in close proximity to the Pacific you must have someone in the UK who is prepared to act as your agent. No charge payable for this advice0 -

 Must have been asleep when I replied to the OPs post! Normally my 'spam' alarm would have gone off as soon as I noticed the 'total posts:1' and shameless website plug within millimetres of each other. In hindsight I feel rather stupid for responding to it now as I doubt "KIM" will be back to reply to it, but hopefully it might be useful to someone else looking to rent out their gaff.

In fact, after reading this line "I found Web Residential .co.uk very helpful and feel the charge is very reasonable for the service they seem to offer" there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that this was nothing more than a spam post  .

:spam:So shall we give it one of these then?;)0

I have never used the internet, only local rags, and have always had an excellent response. 15 interested parties for the last property! I put in a photo and lots of details in my ads. That said, I am letting rural, family and within easy commute of the city, so don't have as much competition as say inner city stuff. But the tenants I chose in the end are excellent, and had no access to a computer like the others in my final 3, so I would have missed out on them if using the likes of gumtree.
