ha ha - that would indeed have been amusingHate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -
I have just received an email back from her telling me its the exact problem I advertised that she isn't happy with. I emailed her saying she needed to re-freecycle it because its easilly fixable and someone will be grateful for the bed frame. I am absolutely fuming.
xxGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!
Closet debt free wannabe -[STRIKE] Last personal loan payment - July 2010[/STRIKE]:T, credit card balance about £3000 (and dropping FAST), [STRIKE]Last car payment September 2010 (August 2010 aparently!!)[/STRIKE]

This wanted ad popped up on our freecycle over the weekend:
"I would be very grateful if someone could help me. My little girl has
just had a growth spurt and has suddenly grown out of all her well
fitting clothes. We went and bought her some from matalan yesterday, it
came to £50 for a couoke of outfits. She is still just about in ize 6-9
months, but will soon be in 9-12 months. If anyone has any spare baby clothes in either of these sizes they would be much appreciated as money is tight but i dont want my little girl going without."
The bit that got me was spending £50 on a couple outfits in Matalan! :eek:0 -
For £50, you can buy a LOT of baby clothes at Asda.:beer:0

I think that savagelyric's point is that £50 can buy you a lot of baby clothes from Matalan, too!
But given the number of people who must have unneeded baby clothes I think the post is valid...0 -
i love freecycle but never really get what i want...lol
but once i post an ad my stuff is gone the same day!!!0 -
Non collections get my goat, it only takes a minute to send an email to say you are no longer interested or can't collect the item you have been offered. Happened this weekend to me :mad:0

Tis true - I agree it is a valid want, I've had some baby clothes from freecycle myself and freecycled them back when finished.
I guess my point was that £50 can buy you a lot of clothes in quite a few places - just imagine how much you could get if you went on a charity shop crawl? (I got a next skirt for my LO this morning for 25p. :T ) Why would you spend that much on a couple of outfits, potentially leaving your baby 'without'?0 -
I get baby clothes from Freecycle, too, and I would definitely consider that a legit "wanted" post.
I just think spending £50 on "a couple of outfits" is crazy.:beer:0 -
