Has e-on reduced it gas price yet?
I've had a letter a few weeks back with the new electric prices but nothing for gas. Has e-on reduced it gas prices yet?

The price cut was a pittance. Less than the cost of sending everyone the letter about it.

What were the headlines?
I read 9%, it was splashed across the papers like Eon were doing us a favour. Mine worked out at a generous 18% for primary units, capped of course as your primary units are, which was Eon's intent I believe. Where as my secondary units were cut by a miserable 1%. I would of been better of if Eon give me a transparent 9% cut across both units, but that's too clear for the customer to understand and work out.
They use 'smoke and mirrors' by cutting prices, then lowering your regional discount if you do your billing online. Give with one hand, take away with the other. Be careful when you read a headline, its not always the true picture.0 -

I think we've all given up hoping for a cut in gas prices. All one big rip-off. All the energy providers take it in turn to take the Regulator out to lunch. Nice business0 -

Yip, all we hear are bleatings from the gravy train that is parliament. They are so busy getting their free kitchen on us, actually representing their constituents seems to be a low priority. We used to be able to march on parliament, but they banned that too.
The sad thing is, Labour is meant to be the peoples party, laughable. They all drink and eat from the same trough.0 -
Hi Rikki,
We haven't reduced the gas prices yet, if they were going to be reduced we would find out on the same day as you guys.
Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer.

Excellent! Sounds like the eon marketing meeting minutes....
The so-called press believe the PR rubbish and nobody questions the small print, me I got a several % cut on my regional discount on the same day as the 9% con...
Gas prices will only drop when they can see a way to maintain the margins in some other underhand way, of course any headline cut will be broadcast loudly to the media.0
