Can I find out how much Council Tax will be?

I'm moving into a 2 bed flat on Saturday, but the owner has told me Council Tax is £120 a month!! This doesn't quite sound right... I was expecting £80 or less from what I'd been told, especially as my mum's 2 bed semi detached costs £80ish a month!

Phone the local council office, quote the postcode and flat number. They will be able to tell you what the council tax band and amount is.
