Cordless & Corded Drill Set -- Misprice ?

gromituk wrote:Hmm - the voltage rating of a cordless drill is like the power rating of a corded drill, the megapixel value of a digital camera or the megahertz clock frequency of a computer. It tells far from the complete story. The figure you need is output power, and do any drills give this? Of course not. And the higher the voltage of a cordless drill, the more cells you have in series, so the more likely you are going to get reverse charging when they go flat, which reduces their life considerably.
Quite agree with above , looked at alot of the cheaper drills and they had Nicad batteries which is the older type the newer ones use NimAh which the JCB has the very top are now using Lithium but are extremely expensive.0 -
My set arrived yesterday and the cordless drill is very very heavy luckily one of the batteries is fubared so Amazon are collecting tomorrow0

JCB stuff is always cheap as chips. Not sure if it's good or bad but always cheap.
I almost bought one of their jet wash systems but realised that just because it looks like a Karcher it probably doesn't perform like one! I've had a cheap cordless drill before and after trying to use it one afternoon to screw down some decking, I threw it in the bin. The charge only lasted for 20 screws.BE NICE - IT'S FREE!0 -
