If you are going to get a cordless drill then get a 24V version if you plan to make any real use of it (e.g. drill through masonry, expect the hammer action to be any use, drill through metal, etc.)

Hmm - the voltage rating of a cordless drill is like the power rating of a corded drill, the megapixel value of a digital camera or the megahertz clock frequency of a computer. It tells far from the complete story. The figure you need is output power, and do any drills give this? Of course not. And the higher the voltage of a cordless drill, the more cells you have in series, so the more likely you are going to get reverse charging when they go flat, which reduces their life considerably.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.
