I have had a credit card with MBNA for about 13 years. When i took the card out i ticked the PPI box on the application form not realising that the cover did not apply to self employed people.
I continued to pay it until about October 2006 when i cancelled it cos i found out it did not apply to me and never had done.
Would i be able to make a claim for the PPI to repaid?
If so, how any years can i go back?
If i no longer have the statements that indicate how much i paid, how can i find out this information?
Is it a SAR request?
Thanks
Sorry if i sound a bit of a numpty!:o

Hi there, now you do not sound a numpty lmao :rotfl:.
Anyway, you can try reclaiming ALL you have paid in PPI and interest.
Write to them to reclaim on this here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
They have 8 weeks to respond in full, another letter maybe required if they do not resolve your case in the first response.
In the final letter they should give details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) if eligible.
For more info on your account, you can request a SAR in a separate letter, more details here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
If its just a Credit Agreement you require for this for instance if you no longer have this, write to them and request for a copy, and enclose £1 postal order of cheque payment, they should supply this by 12 days of requesting this.
Write all those letters separately above.
Reclaims are 8 weeks
Agreement request 12 days
SAR 40 days.
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
