  • Stupid is not the word. A lot of people have moved ISAs to other providers because of it.

yep - my HSBC is going to be 0.2% - I'm just in the process of opening a natwest one which is just over 3.5%, the in brance one doesn't allow you to transfer into it but the Natwest e-ISA does and it's the same rate.

shame I've been with HSBC for 18years for most of my accounts but these days they don't seem to offer me anything near what I can get elsewhere.

I'm moving my childs account next too once I've sorted the ISA out.

I'm also thinking of moving my money from the hsbc, I have 18.3k ish in an isa, last month has just under 8 quid interest!! I've got a meeting with them on Tuesday to see if there is another account I can put it in to get more interest.
I also have 3k in an hsbc instant access account and the interest is also non existant..

At the moment I'm saving just over 1K a month so really want a no risk as much interest as pos. account, pref. with instant access..

Can anyone advise the best at the moment to I make sure I am armed with the info. prior to my meeting and make sure I'm not getting stiffed!

    Cheers...

Just to keep everyone up to date we have now moved all my families money from the HSBC,the premier manager has not had the courtesy to even return my calls.I have a meeting arranged for next week but i get the feeling they do not care about losing clients i have banked with them for over 25 years and the only investment i still have is a bond which matures in August and my current account which still gives me a premier status.
