LLoyds have altered agreed agreed payment, should I pay or not?

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, its good to feel so not alone!
I will write to lloyds telling them I can only afford to pay the originally agreed amounts. I have been phoning so far and thats not working
The CAB man keeps saying that the best option is for the debt to be sold on, so I presumed our credit rating was already trashed and no further damage to it would really be done, because we would never get further credit anyway. I had began to accept that I would never own my own home now unless I saved the cash to buy it outright, which I should just be able to do by the time I am 140 :rotfl:
Has anybody got any drafts or links for the type of letter I should send, by any chance. Sorry to be a pain :kisses:maiseymoo

Hi mm - have a look at the National Debtline template letter on the following link:
http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/temp/3958_24171.pdf
If you feel that that letter is not fully appropriate then go to their debt advice section:
http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#6
Scroll down to 'Section 6 - Sample Letters - and look at the drop down menu to see if there is a more appropriate template.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. hiya
just to add we have been on a dmp with cccs for a year we have 5 creditors the only one still making our life hell is lloyds ! cccs and ourselves have repeatedly written to ask them to freeze interest which they will not do ! still waiting for it to be sold to a dca might get some help then !
we pay them £90 a month they charge £43 interest and £12 late fee!! what a waste its going to take us for ever to pay off !
the other 4 creditors have frozen interest and been helpful ,just lloyds want to suck the last drops of blood from us !
so you are not on your own with lloyds they are just T**TS !! LOL0 -
Hi,
Re Lloyds, we have been on a DMP for 15 months, ad Lloyds still have not and will not freeze our interest . We pay them £333. per month on our cc, and they charge us £243 Interest.:eek: They really just don't want to help. Can't wait until its paid off, and I will steer clear of them forever.

Thanks for the replies re LLoyds messing people about. They are a nightmare and I also am going to steer clear of them once I have paid off what I owe. If I ever manage to pay it off whilst they are messing around with my repayment amounts and interest.

I am still waiting to hear back from my MP as I emailed him with the story and he said he would be contacting LLoyds urgently, it will be interesting to see if he does and to see what he type of response he gets
I will keep you all posted :rotfl:maiseymoo

Can't you still reclaim credit card charges? Any experts around who can confirm or deny that?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Hi,
When I reclaimed charges for my overdraft with Lloyds, they said you are only entitled to reclaim bank charges once in a year. Any body know if this is correct?maiseymoo

Why am I not surprised that Lloyds would say something like this?
As far as I know there is no such limit, but you can always check with the 'reclaiming bank charges' forum.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

The dreaded Lloyds again...voted number 1 bank by customers, would that be for being !!!!!!? They certainly seem to have no customer service or have any idea what they are doing.
They are trying to get me (I think) to allow them? To move my CC debt to Cosumer Debt Recovery - could not make head nor tale of who or what they are?
Lloyds never and still will not freeze interest. First 6 months of my DMP, they gave me a lower rate of interest, basically meaning, I was paying them £9 from the sum they were being given through CCCS! Helpful I think not. Now after 6 months they are hassling again even though I have told them no change in circumstances! My god if I had, they would be the first to know, I want rid of them! Anyway, their lovely interest means with the payment I am still making on my DMP the interest is more so am literrally am wracking up more being owed and what I am paying is literally going nowhere as it does not even cover the interest! Now, how does all this help the customer? Surely the best thing here is that all companies expect DMP's for however long they are going to take, freeze interest and stop charges and allow the customer to pay every penny owed! At least that way, they would get their full amount borrowed back and the customer could actually instead of being forced into BR pay back all they owe....anyway that is my rant. They are a total bunch of T**Ts as above. I have never heard one person have a good word to say about them...sadly.0
