So what I am basically asking is do RM offer a recorded signed for service for Standard Parcels? I have a computer monitor I want to sell on eBay and it weighs 3.5kg. RM First class recorded would cost £9!! but SP looks like it's only £7. Could I just add recorded onto that for the 75p extra?
Any ideas on cheaper shipping? I don't want to put my buyers off with a high shipping price
it's too heavy for 2nd class.

With Parcel2Go how do I know when they will come and collect it? Do we have to be in all day on the designated pick up day?Kavanne

take it to your local staples or whsmith and dhl it, thats probably your best way if you don't want to wait around for a courier.:grouphug:

How much do those cost? More than £9? I need the cheapest signed for service, basically. I can ask OH to stay in all day if necessary but it's not convenient for him really.wheresmydoshat wrote: »take it to your local staples or whsmith and dhl it, thats probably your best way if you don't want to wait around for a courier.Kavanne

tbh, its probably about £9. i would just pay 2nd class recorded, as scrabbing around for a cheaper deal is only going to save you about £2, and will be a lot of hassle registering with a website etc.:grouphug:

unfortunately it's too heavy for 2nd class so needs to go by 1st class

thanks for all help

Yes its all day collection as they use companies like DHL. You choose the collection day to suit youWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -
You might only save £2 but its fully trackable, you dont have to struggle to post office and wait ages and receive awful service. Plus if you go through www.cashbackings.com you get £5 for your 1st order with parceltogo so technically it will only cost u £2-£3 to sendWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Just listed it with first class recorded in the end as OH gave the old 'do i have to' when i said he might have to stay in next fri! lol We live next to a post office so lugging isn't a problem
Thanks for all the help guys.
Have looked on eBay and other monitors 17" size have similar postage costs to me so looks like I was worrying about nothing anywayKavanne
