I've had several pairs of GHD's over the years I've never seen them on sale though here they are for a reasonable price from a reputable website:
http://www.asos.com/Ghd/Ghd-New-Iv-Styler/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=152384&cid=5620&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=Black
You could also try hair salons which tend to sell them at a good price too.
However a lot of GHD's on ebay are fake! I'd be very wary if you see them for sale anywhere for much cheaper than the usual price.0 -
If I were you I would get them online from Boots or Tesco (where I got mine) & get the points & KNOW they are not fakes.0

GHD have a reputation for breaking down when little over a year old.
DD friends who are teens rage about Babyliss ones saying they are better than the GHD they had.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

GHDs are the best I have tried. They are worth the investment as you wont by several other lesser quality ones trying to find something as good. HQ hair were where I got mine from. The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

they do break down my wifes were broke the other week, i repaired them myself, there are websites out there showing you hiw to fix them.I am not a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as not being a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I've had babyliss, they were useless for my thick wavy hair.
Were they the expensive Babyliss ones. I think they are about £80-90 last time I looked.
I have curly hair but it's fine so straigtens easy and I use my Andrew Colinge £10 job from Boots sale. DD was impressd by them so I bought a second pair off ebay for £10 (graded stock) and her friends have been impressed with them too as they have digital varying temp. and switch off automatically after 1 hour (saves worrying I've left them on).
Saying that the teens are really good at straightening any hair with any straighteners IMO. I think they put in more effort:D~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I found some GHD IV straighteners on a very professional website (ghd555.com) for £69! I should have looked more closely at the website, though. The goods were shipped from Beijing into Coventry whereupon UK Border Agency asked a representative from Jemella Group (the owners of the ghd brand) to inspect them. They were declared to be counterfeit and so would be destroyed. I had paid with a Lloyds TSB Visa debit card so I contacted them and sent copies of all paperwork. I'm now waiting to get my money back. In the meantime I visited the ghdhair.com website which lists sites which sell the real thing. I should have done that in the first place. Beware ghd555.com!0

I don't know if they do sales, you just have to find a good deal! I got mine for £94 a year and a half a go from LookFantastic, they're still as amazing as the day I got them and I use them just about everyday.
With having curly wavy hair, are you wanting the wider plates? Just looked on amazon and they're selling them for £89.34 which is pretty good! Sorry I can't recommend other straighteners, GHDs are the best in my books!0 -
Mine were an Xmas pressie from my Mum last year, and although I only use them occasionally (hairdresser's advice - hormone related problems means I have problem with hair falling out) when I do use them I have found they are the only straighteners I have had that get my hair poker-straight and keep it that way. (my hair is also thick and naturally curly)
i had the Nicky Clarke supposed professional type ones and they were rubbish - by the time I had finished straightening my hair with them it was starting to curl again!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
