Car rental payment processing delay

Hello,
Wondering if somebody on here has had trouble with the processing of their payment for a car rental with a credit card.
More specifically, it's been over 15 days the car has been rented from Hertz, and nothing has appeared on the matter on the statement for the credit card that was used to pay for the rental.
Any car rental industry insiders on here?
Any idea what is the average delay for a car rental payment by credit card to be processed? Is the delay provoked by the company waiting for the end of the calendar month to clear all payments?
