Small Claims....Autoplanet

Wondering if anyone else has experience either of Small Claims Court, or of Autoplanet.

Funny story, but I bought a car from AP, Southampton, and though it is a very long story, the specs of the car as advertised on the web, and discussed by 2 salesmen, turned out to be wrong. I bought a Fiat Stilo.....yes I know, but it suits me!, and it was advertised as 115BHP model, but turned out to be 80BHP. (No way of telling without the logbook and manual, neither of which was available)

In itself, not major, but this had knock on effects as the car turned out to be registered abroad, and nearly 2 years older than implied by the Registration plate.

OK., the site warns that cars may be foreign sourced, but had the car been 115BHP., then it would have been more up to date., ie the 80 ceased production a while ago.

Anyway, I am in dispute, both under Sale of Goods, and Contract Law. I want the garage to honour their contract, not reverse the deal and get away with it. They are registered with Local Trading Standards under a 'Buy with Confidence' scheme, but so far, it seems that this acts in their defence, as TS do not seem to be jumping up and down for me, but shielding the garage.

I have given the garage a deadline, about 2 weeks now, as this has been going on since early December. They say they have been trying to source a suitable car, but in several months have not found one, despite me finding dozens on the net/

Anyway, I shall be going to Small Claims shortly, so any advice/tips etc would be welcomed.
