eon scam
as adviced by money saving website i compared all electric and gas tarrifs on all the compassision websites. I was qouted gas 92p and electric 37.92p a month, which as you can imagine i jumped at!!
i have just recieved a massively different bill from eon. After enquiring with eon it seems the deal i was offered does not exist! There is nothing they can do as i signed up on a comparison website.
My direct debit has suddenly jumped from just over 38 pounds to 90 as i am over 500 pounds in arrears!
does anyone have some advice for me to help me out of this situation?

Hi wolfebe,
What was the name of the tariff you signed up for via this third party website?
What was the name of the comparison site you used? Do you have any details from the comparison site about the deal you signed up for?
If you provide me with some more information I can investigate this for you.
It sounds like you were quoted a monthly amount for gas and electricity of £38, is this correct? If so what info did you originally put into the quote/comparison engine? Your old monthly amount or annual kWh?
Straight after signing up to E.ON you will have been sent welcome letters confirming the tariff and rates you signed up for, did you receive these? Check these against the bills you’ve received to see if they match.
Let me know more info and I’ll try and help further.

Aw Brian, I feel so sorry for you not being able to tell woolfebe that he is stupid. So I've said it for you. He's come on here all guns blazing at eon when its clearly not eons fault that some price comparison site gave him the wrong figure!Sunny in Southampton.0
