Installing Digital Camera Drivers

Hey,
Got a new digital camera from Amazon. Only a cheap thing, just to keep me going. When I click Setup through my computer to get the drivers going I get:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXED.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
And gives me the options close and ignore - of which both appear to do nothing.
I run XP on a fairly new computer ... HELP!

It may not be XP Compatible what make and model of camera.0

You probably (almost certainly) don't need drivers for the camera under XP - have you tried just connecting it up and seeing what happens? It should, usually, just be detected as a removable drive and give you the option of running the photo/scanning wizardThey promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0

It doesnt detect it as a removeable drive - thats what I thought it would do.

Silly question ... but is the camera actually switched on when you try to get Windows to auto-detect it?0
