DVD Camcorder Help

Hi,

I'm on Holiday in the states and looking to buy a DVD Camcorder. I made my mind up on a Sony as it is not RAM dependent. However since then I have read many articles which give a very poor review on the Sony systems. The 2 question i have are:-

1.Can any one reccomend a DVD based Camcoder
2.Should i buy a NTSC format (cheap in the US) or should I pay the extra and buy PAL Camcorder from the UK?

Thanks
???

Comments

  • NTSC is the US format for tv signals. PAL is the European standard. Unless you plan on staying in the US or have a multi standard TV and Video for playback I'd opt for the PAL unit.

They don't do multistandard units there do they ? Might just require a software parameter on a menu somewhere to change it to PAL.
