Hi,
I'm on Holiday in the states and looking to buy a DVD Camcorder. I made my mind up on a Sony as it is not RAM dependent. However since then I have read many articles which give a very poor review on the Sony systems. The 2 question i have are:-
1.Can any one reccomend a DVD based Camcoder
2.Should i buy a NTSC format (cheap in the US) or should I pay the extra and buy PAL Camcorder from the UK?
Thanks

NTSC is the US format for tv signals. PAL is the European standard. Unless you plan on staying in the US or have a multi standard TV and Video for playback I'd opt for the PAL unit.
They don't do multistandard units there do they ? Might just require a software parameter on a menu somewhere to change it to PAL.0
