Thanks Tia! :D He's in the kitchen now (baking!) but I'll make him read the links later :)

He mentioned something about him being "gunky" when handed over (I'm not sure if he was being negative or positive about it), then I said "oh no, I want him cleaned up before I get him" and OH said "no, I'll have him gunky" - deal!

I don't mind OH having him first, particularly if he's still gunky.. I don't think it's going to cause either of us any harm if I don't have him the second he pops out! More likely to scar me for life if my first proper look at him is with parts of me still stuck to his face!
You know they actually come out pretty clean ;) Chris wasn't cleaned up when he was handed to me but he wasn't a slimy monster or anything - I think he gets much mukier when eating now that he was when born :rotfl:

I've just seen molliethewestie's post saying that her MW said not to take it until 37 weeks.

    I feel all

That will teach me to post before reading subsequent posts - I've just seen Sami's response saying that RLT doesn't bring on labour. Sod it, I think I'm going to start from 34 or 35 weeks and be done with it.

Chopsticks, I think in a few who are already pre disposed to pre term labour it could trigger labour so to cover their backs, they will say around 36/37 weeks (which is full term), however, in a study I found it actually says that it can decrease your risk or pre term labour! http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B82YM-4JKB6S1-8&_user=10&_rdoc=1&_fmt=&_orig=search&_sort=d&view=c&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=99a51245a8a760fe32bd98e0465a6323

I know that I wouldn't use it before 37 weeks as I did go into pre term labour with DS2 due to dehydration.

elle i know that feeling i keep telling him he'll pop his pool too early :rotfl:...

tia my step-dads a bus/coach driver it still amazing me how i used to go with him everywhere but i was travel sick  x

My Dad's a ship's captain (oil tanker and big cargo type ships) and I get incredibly sick anytime I'm near boats or open water - little boats, big ferries or even looking out the pod on the London Eye across the Thames! :(

Going back to the RLT discussion the other day, I asked my MW today about taking it and she said she doesn't advise it until 36 weeks. Everywhere else seems to suggest 34 weeks, so am unsure what to do now. Maybe start at 35 weeks :D. She said it was because it can bring on labour, but the link that Sami posted the other day (http://www.askbaby.com/raspberry-leaf-tea.htm) says that it doesn't bring on labour, so I'm all confused now.

Talking about bringing on labour, the MW also said that for pineapple to have an effect, it must be fresh and you need to eat seven of them!!! I like pineapple, but seven is loads!!...
All I can say is I've been drinking my RLT since I was 32 weeks (building it up gradually as advised by askbaby) and my bump is showing no signs of arriving early and My best mummy friend did the same with her 2 girls one was overdue and the 2nd was dates unsure but arrived 2 weeks early seemingly full term

Also I'm sure I read it was 4 whole pineapples
