I wasn't sick till after I had DS1. And then it was just like morning sickness. Suddenly felt sick after I was cleaned and sat up, asked for a bowl, one vomit and then I tore in about my tea and toast, it was rank but the best meal I'd ever had :D I poo'd too, after he was delivered, felt like a really long diarrhoea fart. I remember bleary saying sorry and being told not to worry about it, it was natural.

I was sick 3 times from the gas and air, and then they tried to feed me toast after 7 hours of labor and was sick again, I used all of my nighties before Jasmine was born, so had to sleep in a gown till my mum brought in clean nighties the next day !!!

Oooh ooh just remembered i met my mate from rugby yesterday first time she has seen me since i was preggers she is a midwife and when i mentioned that the doctor wont support a home birth for me she said if you can cope with the pain just stay at home until its to late then call them. To say i was shocked was an understatement i think my jaw hit the floor i expected the lecture on why its best to go to hospital.
Why doesn't ur doc support HB?

wow I thought I was blind!!!

I might go and ask for a free contact lense trial somewhere!!!
Tesco are doing free tests at the mo, was mentioned in Martin's mail out theres free clubcard points too but not sure how u get them

Elle - 2.5yrs is a good age gap ;) Its the gap I have with my sis and also Chris will have with bump :D I'm very close to my sister but OH n his bro who are 5yrs apart are at completely different stages in their lives and just not at all close.
I noticed all my friends that had similar age gaps to me were much closer to their siblings than the ones with a gap bigger than 3yrs. not at all scientific tho :p

    Hi Tara,

When you say about the difference, do you mean there is a difference between drinking the tea and taking the capsules, or do you mean there is a difference between drinking the tea/taking the capsules and not drinking the tea/taking the capsules? Sorry, am being a bit think tonight

Also, is it from 37 wks you're supposed to start on it?

    xxxx

I think, its 34 but my MW said to wait a bit longer.
If I remember someone - maybe Sami or Weezle posted a paper that showed that tea was better than capsules. Plus based on Tara's experience will force me to drink.
The difference is the effectiveness - i.e. the tea is more effective than the capsules at shortening the pushing stage and helps the uterus contract after the birth
Tara - I didn't even see that original post!
    http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/labourandbirth/planningyourbabysbirth/raspberryteaeaselabourexpert/
Most suggest from 32 weeks, I started at 32 weeks with 1 mug a day and added an extra mug per day after 2 weeks etc
As far as I'm aware there hasn't been a study into weather the tea is better than capsules BUT the original study into the effectiveness of the herb was done with capsules so technically there is no proof that drinking the tea helps
Also its worth noting hat is beneficial to keep up the RLT after the birth to aid ur uterus shrinking back to its normal size and its also a galactogue (sp?) whihc means it helps with milk supply :D
