I did update on my high blood pressure/will they won't they induce me saga but it got lost in the chat - I'm still here will be 40 + 2 tomorrow and feeling huge!! At least my bp measured 130/82 today so I managed to stay at home and my homebirth is still on the cards if I behave! Just got to convince this belly invader its time to leave the mothership!
So if there's any labour vibes going spare I want them all (please!!!):heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009

Lolly, I gave up work when DS2 was a year old. He has mild cerbral palsy and wasn't reaching milestones. Part time wasn't working either so just left. I have not regretted it. Although I did go to college this year, plan to go next year and then to uni by which point he would be at school... but it didn't quite work out that way.
Money wise, we are better off with me not working. I simply can't get a job that pays enough to cover childcare.
Either way I do love being at home while they are young. Will go back to college Sept 2010 when this one is 1 year old. But it's 3 days, and kinda the best of both worlds. School holidays and weekends off, plenty of time at home with kids and 3 days of adult stuff. Works for me.0 -
***Sends whopping great Labour vibes to Claire*** you can have em all as when i get to 35 weeks in about 13 weeks time i dont want mine popping out early like the DS did it would actually be quite novel for one of them to come late DD arrive smack on the date they said she would what are the chances of that ;-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

cant say i have but i do live on a very big hill and everything is either in town (which is a pain bringing back on a bus i can tell you) or it a huge store way way way out of town and without a car is impossible x
Lyme Regis is a hill, our village is joined to it. Nearest big shops are miles away. Great beach though.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
Its only me that is not sure tia ive always been so bloody independant its kinds hard to give it up and like you said it would be lovely to be there with them whilst they are young i missed out on so much with the other two because i was working but at the time it was the only option due to a mortgage.I'm going to have to learn to be taken care of and give up just a little of the control in my life for once :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Hello Ladies, I wondered if I could trouble you to share some of those lovely labour vibes!
I'll be 40+3 tomorrow (was due on the 5th) - baby is still not engaged which everyone seems surprised at seeing as I'm a first timer (so you're not alone there Mrs. Tine!) I'm not bothered, if I'm going to go overdue, I'd rather be comfortable whilst I'm waiting for her to put in an appearance! Plus, she was breech which I've been told is often a reason for baby not engaging properly until the last minute.
I also thought I'd never had a BH until today at the midwives when I was told in no uncertain terms that I was in the middle of one whilst lying there having the bump examined - I never felt a thing. Now if only labour goes like that!
Midwife has scheduled me for a sweep on Tuesday and I've been booked in for induction on the 15th May. I'd really love to go naturally but I'm not going to stress about it. My OH and I have been together for nearly 10 years with it just being us - so I'm savouring the last precious moments - the calm before the storm!
Super strong labour vibes to Claire, Shell, Mrs T, Krystal and Candice too!don't blow out other people's candles to make your own burn brighter...0 -
