What colour is the RBS debit card? Yellow or Silver?

My wife has one and I believe her RBS debit card is silver, her RBS mastercard is gold.

It depends on your CG level. £100 = Silver card, £250 = Gold card

If you have a Maestro card from RBS, it is a 6759 card which doesn't require authorisation.

I think they may issue Solo, which does require authorisation (but sometimes you can push a Solo card through as being Maestro - depends on the shop's equipment).

I have a RBS Maestro too (silver one/£100 CG) but wasnt sure if they are like full Visa Debit Cards or like Solo/Electron with regards to authorisation

I've got the silver one as well with the £100 cheque guarantee, and yes, it acts as a normal Debit Card.

However, I have found one draw back to this Maestro card, unless someone out there can educate me further on this. Maestro Debit cards, although they hold the same buying power as VISA or MASTERCARD debit cards, not all shopping sites out there accept Maestro as an option. I can't tell you how many times I have come across a site that only accepts VISA or MASTERCARD debit/credit cards for whatever reason. Thankfully I have one of each of those as well so when stuck in that situation, I just pull out my VISA or MASTERCARD to make the payment, grumbling along the way.

I've also noticed that if I travel with the my Maestro card overseas to the States, where much of my family are located, I end up having to use my Visa or Mastercard with my Maestro not being accepted.
