Calling DVLA on 0870
Just spotted this on whatdotheyknow.com, a Freedom Of Information site...
Those astronomical call revenues are obviously not being spent on improving services for motorists, so I wonder where they are going?
Hint: DVLA is now run by a private company, Capita plc, one of the corporate darlings of "New" Labour..
It's good to talk, eh?In an average year, how much money does DVLA make from the expensive 0870 phone numbers its website encourages callers to use to contact it?
I can confirm that, for the financial year 2007-2008, DVLA received £3,973,437.65
