Can you help with Land register information please?

Hi..

I've just had an offer on a property accepted today so decided to pay the £3 from the land registry website and just check out what/who's on it etc..(wanted to check it was freehold mainly).

Reading through it I'm a bit confused about section C: the Charges Register..
Can someone explain it to me please..

C: Charges Register
This register contains any charges and other matters that
affect the land.
1 (21.06.1991) A Conveyance of the land in this title dated 30 May 1986 made
between (1) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Vendor) and (2) xxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Builder) and (3) xxxxxxxx and xxxxxxx (Purchasers) contains restrictive covenants.
NOTE: Original filed.
2 (13.12.2004) REGISTERED CHARGE dated 10 December 2004.
3 (13.12.2007) Proprietor: LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC (Co. Regn. No. 2065) of
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
End of register

(ive put the xxxxx's there just because it shows the names)

Its the registered charge I'm concerned about as that's all the information it says about it.... Does it mean the bank now owns it? I'm lost lol...

cheers

All that means is that Lloyds TSB has a charge on the property i.e. there is a mortgage on the property from Lloyds. Nothing to worry about.

Correct. However the owner/s could be in negative equity or only owe a pound!
