Cheapest 0800 Numbers with Mobile Re-Divert

Options
Looking to set up an 0800 number that routinely diverts to my BT landline. However there will be occasions when I will want to re-divert calls from the 0800 number to my mobile. Did a bit of research and this is what I have come up with so far.

The cheapest way to do this is to divert the landline to the mobile and NOT divert the 0800 directly to the mobile.

0800 numbers best deal
less than 750 minutes per month use Call08 Bronze service £0 setup, £4.95 pcm, 2p/min, 500 free
750 or more minutes per month use Call08 Silver service £0 setup, £9.95 pcm 2p/min, 1500 free

The cheapest way to divert my BT landline to my mobile will be to:
  • Sign up for the Friends and Family Mobile which is free if you sign a 12 month contract otherwise £1.50 a month. Calls cost 7p/min
  • Sign up for the Call Diversion Calling Feature at £2.50 a month
Can anyone add anything to this? If I was certain my BT line would allow me to call divert to a mobile via an override provider then this may reduce cost further but not sure about this.

Cheers

Calls which you divert using BT's Call Diversion calling feature will be routed via your CPS calls provider (if you have one) but BT does not allow any prefixes (like 18185) in the 'divert to' string.

Primus used to offer a CPS package (Penny Mobile 2) which allowed calls to mobiles (i.e. including such diverts) for a flat rate of 20p for up to 20 minutes and, until their call centre started denying all knowledge of the package, it was a recommendation of mine. I'm still on it but, unfortunately, I haven't heard of anyone successfully signing up for Penny Mobile 2 for some months now.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Thanks Heinz - I cannot find anything about 'Penny Mobile 2' on the Primus website so it looks like its the Call08, Friends and Family Mobile and Call Diversion combo that provides the cheapest solution.

No, Penny Mobile 2 CPS never was on their website.

I have a pdf I can send you if you PM me an email address but, although I've forwarded that to a number of people, I've not heard of anyone successfuly switching to it for some time.
