Missing Parcel

Bought an item over the weekend from Ebay, come home on Tuesday to find a attempted delivery card from "Fastwaycouriers" with a telephone number of the driver for a re-delivery.

So I give him a call to re-deliver today and to authorise it to be left with a neighbour, he asked if he could leave it out the back but I declined.

Left the card in the window stating it was OK to leave next door.

So I came home tonight, found a card pushed through the door, stating left over the gate.

Had a quick look, no parcel?

Will I need to claim from the courier or will the seller, going to email them in a bit.

Fastway are an unusual outfit. They do not have depots as each driver is an independent franchisee. They do have online tracking but I'm not sure how good it is in a situation like this. They are very cheap though! I would phone the driver again just to check what he actually did with the parcel.

After a few emails between me and the seller, a refund has been given.

Fastways were even telling him that next door had signed for the parcel!!!! Quick scan of their Delivery Note fixed that though.

Within the item on Ebay it's showing that the Payment has been refunded, but on my Summary it's showing as One Item to Pay, will this just disappear over time.

I used to own a fastway franchise and can honestly say it was the worst decision I have ever made in my life. This kind of thing happens all the time and fastway will refuse to pay out. The guy who sent it will now have to foot the bill. Been there done that, in the 9 months I was there not one claim was paid out, including the one I had to make for a parcel I sent. The last ever parcel I sent with them was left on the doorstep. The guy then sent me a pic of the parcel as someone had hand wrote on it "leave at front door". I'm finally at court next month to try and get the massive amount of money back that these cowboys owe me.
