I take my electricity and gas from Scottish Power. Today in the post they are offering me the option to pay one year's power bill in advance and get a 5% discount on their standard monthly direct debit prices.
Now call me a cynic but with savings rates around 1% this must be too good to be true. What's the catch?
Tony.
