Regarding Deep fried mars bars:FamilyTree wrote: »I've never seen on any menu list in any chip shop in Scotland
There's a chip shop in Edinburgh called Oscars (or it was when I was last there) that sell/sold deep fried Mars bars, crunchies, snickers or double deckers. Or if you wanted they'd batter and deep fry any chocolate bar you gave them for a small charge. I enquired about milkybars but they said it'd have to be towards the end of the day as white chocolate turns the oil black. Dunno if there's any truth in that.
Jane - let us know how they found the food this weekend.0
