quite recently I notice that while I'm browsing in firefox after a few minutes of using it, sites suddenly stop loading and on the bottom left hand corner it has the word "stopped". Therefore i had no choice but to keep restarting my system. I tried reinstalling Firefox but still had the same problem. This is also affecting IE7 as well as sites just dont show up half way through loading.
Does anybody know what the problem is?
thanks

You dont mention any other software you have, but there is a known conflict between zonealarm and fire fox. I had the same problem, and once ff stopped ie wouldnt work either. I have ditched za for comodo, uninstalled za and now have no problems.Gas doc on the loose0

Let us know how you get on
If you still have problems ~
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0 -
My web browser seems to be working fine since I uninstalled zonealarm, so thanks. I'm using Windows vista Firewall at the moment. Do you think that is good enough?Sorry No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Vistas firewalls fine generally speaking. What about other security programs?:idea:0

I use Avast and spyware doctor as well from the recommendation of this site. However for some reason I still get a window security alert saying my antivirus isn't turned on even it is on. I initially thought it was an AVG problem thats why I switched to Avast.Sorry No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Make sure you use the AVG REMOVAL TOOL as simply uninstalling leaves bits behind/running

I wouldnt worry too much about the alerts so long as your sure they ARE running ok:idea:0 -
