Windows Media Player to iTunes

How do I transfer all music from windows media player etc to iTunes?

I did this recently and I think (from memory), you open I-Tunes and click file then import and browse to find the songs you want, click open and hey presto.

Just drag all the folders with your music in it onto the itunes interface (You could just drag your My Documents or My Music folder onto the itunes window)

Itunes will find all music in the folder and list them (shortcuts to the file locations).

Then if you want Itunes to store your music in its own file system, click Consolodate Library from the Advanced Menu. Itunes will make a copy of all music to your itunes folder. Then you can delete the original files.

Make sure you go through the other Itunes preferences to control how Itunes handles your music in the future - e.g. whether or not it automatically grabs a copy of everything you play
