Just do it - you'll feel much better
I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -

I'd suggest going to the control panel, locating BT Yahoo Messanger and uninstalling it. MSM messanger is bad enough, I hate to think what BT Yahoo is like. These companies think that if you install their program you want it to take over without giving you much choice.0

I've got both on my PC with no problem ..:)
if you have Windows Xp or Me use System restore to go back to a date before Yahoo Messenger was installed

I agree with grahawk. Yahoo is getting very big for its boots and tries to control a lot of your PC if you let it. When your sweetheart (lol) installed Yahoo Messenger did he also instal the Yahoo Toolbar and all the other stuff that it hopes you'll instal so that it can control......er help in.....your surfing?
The Toolbar is notorious for causing problems, especially an annoying habit of only allowing you to have one Internet Explorer window open at a time.
I would completely uninstal Yahoo Messenger and any related Toolbars, anything with Yahoo in its name, then restore your PC to a date prior to the installation of Yahoo using System Restore, then you can try and instal Yahoo Messenger again if the love of your life really wants to use it, but I would avoid installing any extras. So when Yahoo asks if you want the Toolbar installed, the latest weather forecast displayed on your Desktop and a running report tickertaped across your screen of what they're selling off cheap at your local Tescos, I'd tick the "Go scr*w yourself" box. Failing that, the "No, thank you" box will do.
But yes, it's his fault. He's to blame. Can't get out of this one. Bang to rights. Hope you've got a comfy shed.

HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
