After years of terrible service from Virgin media we decided enough was enough and gave them notice we were leaving.
We then get a call from retentions asking us to reconsider, promising we would have no more issues with them. Now our bills have always been high as we have 2 phone lines, tv, and broadband.
All are paid monthly by switch over the phone, these are the services we want and are willing to pay for.
Tuesday 21 April the bill raised on the 10th arrived for £181 (quite low for us) the bill states it is due for payment by the 30th, on the 23rd we got home to find an answerpnone message asking us to ring 173 from our home phone, wondering what had happened I did only to be told we were about to be disconnected for not paying our bill. After a brief discusion we were told we were over our credit limit of £250 that had been put on our account. Who or why this has been imposed is anyones guess we have already been billed for the service charge for next month and when you add on the calls already made from the 10th plus the £181 we will be in fact over the limit however this would be well below the credit limit on the 30th when the bill is to be paid.
We asked to speak to customer services who assured us that they would see to it that we were not disconnected.
This morning the 29th we got up to find all services had been terminated, the bill is not due till tomorrow. the thing is if you complain to them they tell you it is a billing issue and in the hands of credit control and it is you that is in the wrong and they are acting fairly
