Is there a way of using a perfectly good internal dvd drive as an external (usb maybe?) drive, for use with netbook with no drive?

Easy! You need something like this http://www.storagedepot.co.uk/Hard-Drive-Cases/sc884/p21.aspx. Make sure you get a 5.25 inch one - I'm assuming the CD is an IDE one as it is from an old PC0

Brilliant. Thanks hc. I've just checked the drive and it doesn't say anywhere on it if it is an IDE or not. It's a Sony DW-D22A.
Edit: Just checked on the net and it is.Herman - MP for all!0
