18866 is there anything cheaper for phoing mobiles?

I notice that I get charged a lot for mobile phone calls in the week on 18866. Also, I have noticed they have craftily moved the tarrif to 4p connection whch is the same as BT.

Is it better to use BT for mobiles and is there anything better out there than 18866?

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
