How long for a non-payer?

Hi,

When you have a buyer who has not paid and not contacted you regarding when they will pay how long do you give them?

Its been a week for one of my items, not heard anything from her!!

The item could be available for 2nd chance offers. How do 2nd chance offers work? Do I just contact the next person down? Do I have to wait for the winner to be identified as a non-payer by ebay first?

I think you need to wait 7 days before reporting an unpayed item. i always write on my listing 'please pay within 3 days' but people seem to ignore this, at the moment i have 2 items which have not been payed for, it makes me so angry, why does it take a week for someone to pay?

Well to be fair its been 7 days now, I think il do it in a bit.
It doesn't take a week to pay. You bid for an item, you know when it ends, you pay for something, max like 3 days. A week later is ridiculous!!

Of course they ignore your 3 day rule, your buyers know you can't do anything and can't change ebays rules and ebay allow 7 days in which to pay.

OP, if it has been 7 days open a full non paying bidder dispute and leave it open until buyer pays or responds in some way. I would not personally offer to a second bidder yet in case the original bidder pays before you can close the dispute.
