Quick question RE tenancy agreement - should it have Landlords address?

Options
Hi. Just a quick question.

We've just had a copy of the tenancy agreement for our new property and in the landlord details and address section it only has the Letting Agency's details. I was under the impression that it was a requirement, by law, that the landlord's details had to be given in addition.

Could someone either confirm or deny for me? It may just be they've sent us a generic "mock-up" but I'd prefer to know before the day I sign.

Many thanks :rolleyes::cool:

    The requirement is an address for service, this can be the landlords address or a c/o adress such as an agents. This is the address that you should use to serve notices to quit etc. This address has to be an address in England/Wales for English/Welsh ASTs.

    You can legally request the landlords actually address from the agents if you want.

    If you send a *written* request to your LA , asking for the LL's name & address they have 21 days in which to furnish you with the info. The LA would be guilty of a summary offence if s/he failed to do so and can be fined . LL&T Act 1985, S1. (E&W)

    This is separate to the S48 requirements of the LL&T Act 1987 regarding address for service of notices.
