I bought one today too, although no way can they be considered "large" chickens!

I have just opened the chicken, I agree, not very large at all, though it says large on the label
  • I'm sure the rotissary chickens are far smaller than they used to be, say a year ago. I only buy them when they're reduced as I don't feel i can justify £4. I'll look out for the £2 ones though!

it was very funny this morning with the staff trying to off load them ! virtually accosting customers to take them away, they said they have far too many and dont know how to get rid of them.

I bought a "standard" size one a few weeks ago and it was minute, more like a poussin than a chicken.......£3 or £3.50 I think it was.

Definately got smaller in my opinion.

At Tesco they are only allowed to keep the hot chickens on display for a set period, after this they reduce them to get rid of them fast. Is that what you mean when you say they were reduced, or are you saying they are on special offer?
